The ruins of a stone machine shaft building from 1823, where a 24-inch steam engine was installed and used to pump water for the construction of the Frederick Deep Adit.
The shaft is oval-shaped and has stone casing; it is inaccessible from the ground. The ruins of the shaft top remind the structures of the shaft water systems that existed in the Erzgebirge.
