It serves two functions: a ventilation shaft and an opening to the underground for bats. It is surrounded by a characteristic mound. It was built in 1832 at the intersection of the adit system, where the east- and southwards levels branch off and create the so-called great loop. The oval shaft, finished with brick and stone, featured a 24-inch steam engine transferred from the Karlik shaft (attribute 1.5).
