The shaft is 55 m deep and is of oval shape and has a stone casing. In 1835–2000 the facility supplied the water to the population. Since 2015 it has served again as a source of drinking water. It is located in the vicinity of the water tower from 1926. Both facilities are used by the municipal waterworks to produce water.
